Visa
International visitors should check their status to determine if they need a Visa or visa renewal to travel to China. Contact your local Chinese Consulate or Embassy for details on how to apply for a Chinese Visa. If you need a letter of invitation to attend the conference, please email a request to icmm2023@nju.edu.cn.

Travel
From Nanjing Lukou International Airport (南京禄口国际机场)
Taxi: It is recommended for international delegates who travel to Nanjing for the first time. The cost is around 150 RMB (40 km, ca. 45 mins depending on traffic) from the airport to the Venue.
Metro: Only one connecting ticket (8 RMB) is required; destination: Yuantong Station (元通站). Take Line S1 to Nanjing South Railway Station (南京南站) (7 stops, 37 mins); Transfer to Line S3 (GaoJiaChong direction, 高家冲方向) to YouFangQiao Station (油坊桥站) (5 stops, 12 mins); Transfer to Line 2 to Yuantong Station (元通站) (2 stops, 6 mins). After arriving at Yuantong Station, you must leave Exit No. 4 and follow signs to the conference Venue (IYCC) (25 mins by walk).
Shuttle Bus: The complimentary shuttle service will commence from Nanjing Lukou International Airport (Terminal 1 Car Park) at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm on Sunday, September 10th.
From Nanjing South Railway Station (南京南站)
Taxi: The cost is around 40 RMB (11 km, ca. 20 mins) from the airport to the Venue.
Metro: Only one connecting ticket (4 RMB) is required; destination: Yuantong Station (元通站). Take Line S3 (GaoJiaChong direction, 高家冲方向) to YouFangQiao Station (油坊桥站) (5 stops, 12 mins); Transfer to Line 2 to Yuantong Station (元通站) (2 stops, 6 mins). After arriving at Yuantong Station, you must leave Exit No. 4 and follow signs to the conference Venue (IYCC) (25 mins by walk).

Student volunteers will be at the Exits of Terminal 1 at the Nanjing Lukou Airport on September 9th and 10th (from 9:30 to 21:30) to assist in transportation services. The volunteers are easily recognizable by the "ICMM2023" sign and their blue T-shirts with the ICMM2023 Logo. Please understand that we are unable to arrange more frequent shuttle services.

Tips
Time Zone and Weather
China Standard Time (CST) is 8 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). Clocks are set at GMT + 8 hours. In Nanjing, September marks the transitional month between summer and autumn. The temperature is usually between 20 °C and 30 °C. It is warm during the day and cool at night. It is advisable to pack a light jacket.
Electricity
The electricity is 220~230 V, 50 Hz, AC.
A standard socket in China has two pins on the upper part and three pins on the lower part. You may need to take a portable plug adapter with you in China.
Foreign Exchange and Banking Facilities
The official Chinese currency is the Renminbi (RMB) Yuan. Most credit cards are usually accepted in most hotels, restaurants, and shopping malls in Nanjing.
Currency exchanges are available mainly at the banks in the city. Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) are also widely available in Nanjing, including most hotels and city streets. Banks in Nanjing are usually open from 9:00 to 17:00, Monday through Friday. There is also a Currency Exchange shop opposite the International Arrival Exit of Nanjing Lukou Airport.
